This guide will walk you through the steps to create a new advert and make it visible on your website. Please note that only adverts set to 'Active' status will be displayed | Video Walkthrough

  1. Navigate to "My Adverts":

    • From your WordPress Dashboard, scroll down the left-hand menu until you find My Adverts.

    • Click on My Adverts.

  2. Add New Advert:

    • On the "Ads" page, click the Add New button, located near the top of the page.

  3. Enter Advert Title:

    • In the "Add title" field, type in a descriptive title for your advert. This is mostly for your internal reference.

  4. Set Advert Image (Featured Image):

    • On the right-hand side of the editor screen, ensure the Ad settings tab is selected (similar to the "Post" or "Page" tab).

    • Scroll down within this tab until you find the Featured image section.

    • Click on Set featured image.

    • This will open your Media Library:

      • If your advert image is already uploaded, click on it to select it (a blue checkmark will appear).

      • If you need to upload a new image, click the "Upload files" tab, then "Select Files" to choose the image from your computer.

    • Once your desired image is selected, click the blue Set featured image button in the bottom right of the Media Library window. The image will now appear in the "Featured image" box.

  5. Set the Advert Link:

    • Still in the right-hand sidebar (in the "Ad" settings tab), scroll down past the "Featured image" section. You should find custom fields for the advert.

    • Locate the field labeled Advert URL.

    • In this field, enter the full URL (web address) where users should be taken when they click on the advert (e.g., https://www.example.com/your-product-page).

  6. Set Advert Status to "Active":

    • Look for the field labeled Active.

    • By default, it might be set to "Inactive."

    • Click on this field to activate it.

    • Important: Adverts will only be displayed on the website if their status is set to "Active." If it's "Inactive," the advert will be saved but not visible to visitors.

  7. Publish the Advert:

    • Once you've entered the title, image, link, and set the status to "Active," scroll back to the top right corner of the screen.

    • Click the blue Publish button.

    • A confirmation panel may appear. Click Publish again.
